Here at Eagle Mountain Therapy, we focus our counseling on relationship issues, helping children or adolescents, and family conflict. Dr. Speights is trained in EMDR and Emotionally Focused Therapy. She specializes in working with couples, trauma, teens, and working with families with neurodivergence.

Dr. Speights earned her PhD in Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX and her M.MFT from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, TX. Her research interests include life cycle transitions, play therapy, and couples. She specializes in couples, teens, parent/child relationships, and trauma. She has training in EFT with couples, EMDR for trauma work, and play therapy with young children.
In 2016, after stepping out of the field for a decade to focus on raising her daughter, Dr. Speights re-entered the field teaching part time for several Universities. She is currently a professor at National University. She is excited to work with couples and families, helping you and your family through life’s challenges.
She and her family live outside the city limits in the Fort Worth area on a couple acres with chickens, a horse, and a cat. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking, playing games, reading, and traveling.
We have been working on an office space on our property for the last year. It’s not finished yet, but its very close!
